Executive Recruitment and Selection

At the end of the summer 2009, O plc has ceased its exclusive association with Ken Clark International and is now cooperating with them on an “ad hoc” basis.  KCI is offering one of the best global platforms for executive search in the industries it serves (life sciences, chemical and industrial, consumer, new technologies) and O plc is able to use the KCI structure for appropriate executive talent acquisition assignments when the case arises, either during an O plc change and/or transition mandate or for a specific search assignment where O plc selection capabilities are considered important added value. To this end, Alain HAUT, O plc Managing Partner, is now a Swiss legally certified “Responsible Person” for national and international staffing activities.

Transition Management

To substantially complement its activities in Change Management, O plc has increased its capabilities in Transition Management. Alain HAUT, O plc Managing Partner, is now a certified “Transition Manager” by the French group “Transition and Change” (a globally-renowned specialist advisor in the field, using the Palo Alto approach to analyse the systemic nature of human organisations operating under constraints). This Transition Methodology, which relies on logic and cybernetic concepts of communication, is amazingly similar to the O plc Vision and Methodology. In addition, under specific circumstances, O plc is able to provide “Interim Transition Management” in the traditional definition of the term (using the long and accumulated global experience in Human Resources and General Management).

Leadership Development

Alain HAUT has been appointed Senior Associate with MCE (Management Centre Europe) the European arm of AMA (American Management Association). MCE focuses on helping leaders and managers on getting the strategy done, i.e. focusing on the people issues related to implementing the strategy . MCE does this through workshops facilitated by Senior Associates, business professionals with more than 20 years of recent senior-level business experience, mostly with top leadership positions in global companies. MCE Senior Associates are business professionals who are good communicators, skilled at sharing their knowledge in groups, good listeners to participants’ business needs and able to include them in workshops and solutions.

University Lecturing

UBIS – the University of Business and International Studies - is a newly established (less than 3 years) and fast-growing American university in Geneva/Switzerland. It is associated with the Potomac College of Washington DC/USA.  UBIS offers recognised degree programmes designed in accordance with the European Credit and Accumulation System (ECTS). UBIS’ learning strategies provide students with unique opportunities for quality education through active and experiential learning of various types (particularly cross-disciplinary curriculum). For that, they are recognized to be particularly sensitive to faculty selection. Alain HAUT has been appointed Professor in the Business Administration faculty and will start teaching in January 2010
